Prayer for Lori Busby and family

Lori Busby’s father was killed in some sort of work-related accident. We don’t have any other details, except that her daughter Sarah is driving Lori to Alabama. Please pray for the family as well as safe travels for Lori and Sarah.

Praise God for his faithfulness!

First of all I want to say WOW!!! Regardless of any test results – I have been blessed! I have totally felt the impact and power of the prayers being offered to God for us since I sent you my prayer request. I don’t know how many times over the past 12 days I’ve had to literally stop what I was doing and take time to thank God for the peace, joy and love that he was pouring out on me - and I knew it was because of the power of prayer – your prayers. God hears every single one. His church is a powerful force on earth and the prayers of His children are a mighty weapon. Thank you for being so quick and so faithful to answer the call by standing in the gap for Carrie, Luke and I by praying for and encouraging us.

I received my MRI results today and the Lord heard our cries and answered our prayers! The scan was clear and there are no tumors or any signs of cancer! The doctor said that the damage to my hearing must be due to the radiation treatments – and I’m dancing for Joy! I am placing the problems with my ear in the Creator’s hands and if it is His will for me to have this thorn in the flesh as a reminder of what He has carried me through – then I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses because His strength is made perfect in our weakness. But I know without a doubt that if Jesus can pick up the ear that Peter chopped off with a sword and put it back on the soldier who was about to drag Him off to be beaten and crucified, the He can heal any damage to my ear.

My Heavenly Father has chosen to take this cup from me, and I am so grateful. With the weight of this trial over these past 12 days, I couldn’t help but think of the cup that Jesus asked His Father to take from Him - if at all possible. While sweating blood, Jesus knew that if one soul could be saved for all eternity, then He wanted the Father’s will to be done – all the way to the cross. There was no short cut for Jesus, He had to feel every whiplash and every thorn. Praise Him this week for the unfathomable weight that He bore for us – so that our burden could be light.

As each of you have been praying for us, I’ve been asking Jesus to pour His Spirit out on you and to fellowship closely with you in a new, fresh and real way. I’ve asked for Him to do for you what Romans 15:13 says:

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Please let me know if there is any way I can pray for you - whatever you may be goint thru. Also, please share this with anyone you asked to pray for us and continue to keep my family in your prayers....And have a Huge Praise Party with us and the awesome news we received today!

Prayer for Josh Mott

Josh Mott is a 29 yr old father of 3 preschool children who began his undergrad study 4 years ago. Josh was just recently diagnosed with grade 4 glioblastoma, a malignant brain tumor after a semester of unexplainable seizures and other neurological symptoms. He underwent surgery on April 9th and will need to undergo 6 weeks of radiation, 5 days a week as well as chemotherapy. The prognosis for this grade of tumor does not look encouraging but God is more than able! Josh is married to Kristin and they share 3 beautiful children together. Josh is an incredibly compassionate young man who was studying to be a counselor. Please pray for God's miraculous healing for this family and the strength and perseverance to endure the journey they are on. Also pray for their financial provision. Josh was the primary bread winner while also being a full-time student as Kristin cared for their three very young children. They are originally from Pennsylvania and moved to E. TN for school.

Prayer for Joe Rosa & 3 year old boy

Dear Intercessors, Please be praying for:

• Joe Rosa, who is facing spinal fusion surgery of 5 vertebrae in his neck. His problems are from "leftover issues" from a surgery when he was a child to remove a tumor, and he has been told by two specialists that the surgery required now will have to be repeated after so many years. He is at great risk of paralysis from neck down, without the surgery, and it is a risky surgery itself, of course. They all live in Pocatello, Idaho. He is married and has four young children. He is a believer. Pray specifically for: 1. God's healing hand upon Joe 2. Wisdom in choosing what doctor/hospital to use(Boise or Pocatello) 3.Direction in future career (he installs commercial heating and air systems and has been told he cannot continue to do this job)Diane wrote:"Prayer is needed for my friend Emily. Prayer for Cory Bennett

Intercessors, Please be praying for Cory Bennett who had a stroke Monday morning. Please pray for healing on Cory and the mercy of God on my friend and his family. Cory and his family are believers, so praise God for that. I will update you when I hear more.

Prayer for a student

Please see the prayer request below from Anne Pharr: A student I've had for two semesters stayed after class today and poured her heart out about some difficulties she and her family are experiencing. Without going into too much detail (our Father knows them anyway), I wanted to see if you would pray for this sweet student, her brother, his unborn child and girlfriend, and this student's parents. They are going through some extremely trying times, and the student was very grateful when I offered to have my church family pray for her. I am praying for physical, emotional, and relational healing for each of them, as well as that they would be able to find a church home.
