Pray for Jim Tucker's Father

Sheppard Tucker just texted that they have rushed Jim's father to the ER with congestive heart problems. This is the 3rd visit to the hospital this week. Pray also for Sheppards dad as he continues to battle cancer as well. Pray that the Tucker family would be covered by the Prince of Peace in this difficult season.

Prayer for Christmas Eve Services

Dear Church Family,

Please be in prayer this week and espeacially tomorrow for our Christmas Eve Services at 3:00, 4:30 and 6:00 pm. Historically, we have had many vistors both churched and unchurched. Pray that all that attend find the real meaning of Christmas and that each one would encounter Jesus personally this holiday season. Pray also for protection and health for Pastor Brad, Chris Jesson,Tae Cho and our worship team as they will be serving us all three services.

Thank you for your faithfulness to pray!

The Well Cancelled

Due to the forecast of inclement weather (namely ice) this afternoon and tonight we will be cancelling our WELL service. We just do not want to take the chance of anyone having an accident traveling back & forth…so stay home by a nice warm fire with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy your family and friends.

Also, mark your calendars…The WELL will also not be meeting during the Christmas holidays but will continue on January 5th.

Prayer Request from Brian & Pamela Ward

Dear Friends and Family:

Brian and I would like to ask you to join us in praying for Phil Calderwood. His wife Jade is Brian's coworker at Bechtel in Frederick (MD). Phil and Jade live in Rockville (MD). Phil is 36 years old and currently at Children's National Hospital in Washington D.C. in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, having just had his 4th open heart surgery a week ago.

He was born with several heart defects and has survived open heart surgery at age 1, 9 and 18. His case is so rare, that no known adult in the US has survived his condition past age 1 year.

Jade and Phil are not believers and describe themselves as agnostic. Yet they welcome our prayers and the prayers of others. We are trying to be "the church" to them and have tried to share the Gospel with them on a few different occasions. We have also served them with housecleaning, errands and meals prior to surgery, as well as a visit and meal at the hospital this past Sunday.

Phil remains sedated. As a result of previous open heart surgeries, he now has liver damage. Due to his pre-surgery weakened liver and the surgery medications and blood transfusions, his liver is failing while he remains in CICU.

We are praying for God's mercy in sparing his life so that he (and she) will respond to the Gospel. We are praying for complete recovery and healing, and that GOD will receive the glory and praise through this. His case is resulting in an increasing level of interest among medical professionals associated with the hospital. As of today, there were 20 health professionals as part of his care team, and liver specialist doctors and neurologists are being added to his case. Already, his medical team has told Phil and Jade that it is a miracle that he has survived into adulthood and has had a "normal" life complete with a career and a wife. Sadly, Phil and Jade do not acknowledge God to be the author and sustainer of life, or to be the Great Physician, as of yet.

Thank you. Tonight we sensed it was time to "call in the troops" for additional prayer support for this family. We realize that many of you have not heard from us since our move to Maryland in June, and for that we apologize. For those of you living locally in the Washington D.C. area - if anyone would be available and interested in joining us on a weekend visit to pray over Phil and with Jade, we would certainly welcome your prayers and presence. We are pretty sure Jade would as well.

Also, if you know any Christian family member/friend who works at Children's National Hospital, or National Hospital nearby or the V.A. Hospital, who might be willing to go and meet Jade and pray with her and over Phil, I'm sure that would be another source of encouragement and witness to this family.

Sincerely,

Brian and Pamela

This Saturday from 8:00am – till noon our Elders will be meeting together for the sole purpose of meeting with and “Listening” to the Father on behalf of Two Rivers Church as they prayerfully look towards the coming new year. We are grateful for the leadership that the Lord has given us and want to be faithful to cover them in prayer as they meet. So this Saturday December 4th from 7:30am – noon the Prayer Chapel will be open for anyone who would like to join with us in prayer here on campus. You do not have to stay the entire time and are free to come and go as you would like. I will have coffee, juices & bagels available for everyone who comes out. If you are not able to join us at the church, just pray where you are as God will hear you just the same.

Jonathan Albright

Jonathan Albright had a growth removed from his vocal cords this morning. This outpatient surgery went well. They don't think it is cancerous but will still send it off to the lab. He can't speak/whisper for a few days. We hope his voice will be normal again and this won't reoccur.

Thank you for your prayers.

Robin

Prayer Warriors, please come together to lift up Robin and her family in Prayer. They have been attending Two Rivers steady for 6 months, off and on for 6 years.

Robin is new to the High School ministry. Robin has been thru open heart surgery in Nov 2008 and just last April they went in and removed the sternal wires. She still has another surgery to go because it is not corrected. Robin recently found out that she has a brain tumor that has a sister tumor right beside it sitting right behind her eyes and very close to the optic nerve. The doctor at UT has told her that it is inoperable and that it has grown since the short time ago they found it. It is so close to the optic nerve, they don’t want to go in to see if it is malignant or not because it could damage the optic nerve and could result in blindness or it could paralyze her face. Her family is from California and they are praying for direction to go to her doctors there and seek another opinion.

Robin has very strong faith and has completely put her trust and hope in the Lord. When you look at her, you see joy for the Lord! She has peace! Praise God. On the other hand, it is not so easy for her husband Pat. She also has a son named Kyle that is a Junior at UT, a son named Robbie that is a Junior at Farragut and a daughter named Carena at Farragut that is one of my Freshmen girls.

Please continue to be in prayer for Robin and this family. She told me the other night after I asked her permission to turn it over to intercessors and staff to be prayed for, that she has never had that kind of prayer, it normally has only been family and close friends. I will be bringing Robin to the Well to be prayed over. God is Good!

Thank you for the constant prayer that is so greatly needed at this time.
